Depending on the light, the finish can look more gold than silver, and the undertone color can look slightly more sooty than green. I have used this as a highlighter and a liner, and liked the results both ways. I don’t like how this looks as a standalone color...

I picked up Almost Quiet as one of my early purchases from Dawn Eyes. By the time I got around to sampling the rest of the collection, five of the original ten shades were gone…which isn’t surprising, considering the collection is over five years old!
The tanned-apricot shows up more when this is applied dry - any foiled application makes the gold interference show much more strongly. The interference color almost has some green tones to it. (If you love the way this one looks, though, you’re SOL, because Femme Fatale discontinued this color...
The color is more of a raisin-plum shade when applied dry. I don’t know why it doesn’t appear that way when foiled - I like it better with the brown undertones! - but it’s nice to have a color that has these kinds of effects. The shimmer...
This color is a little deeper than I thought it would be, and a little less cool. It still looks good on me, it’s just less of a fuchsia and more of a deep pink-rose.

The color pulls a bit…muddier than I expected from the professional artwork (which is, admittedly, often a bit off) and from the online swatches. I was expecting a more neutral shade. There’s a little more yellow, and a little more grey, than I thought there might be....
