There's a very, very faint gold shimmer to this color - not as much as BE's glimmers, but a little bit. The color is pigmented enough to be used as a contouring shade; but when I do that, all the gold is essentially lost and the brown is very prominent.

Rainbow Minerals has closed shop since I bought colors and hilite powders from them. However, I feel confident in stating that the products I purchased from them were either straight oxides and micas from some wholesaler, or were only minimally altered.
I love this color. It's a lovely shade, it's versatile, it actually does have color payoff (it's not a “glimpse”), and while it's classed by BE as a matte, it does have some shimmer. I originally steered clear of this color, thinking “Oh - it's just going to be another...
Supposedly this color has been discontinued by Bare Escentuals…but I think it's probably just gone into the vault, and will make a reappearance at some point in the future.
