Alphabet Nail Challenge: H is for Harvest Moon (by China Glaze)

I'm participating in an Alphabet Nail Challenge that I found over at Confessions of a Secret Shopper. She's running her contest from September 1 to 26 - start between those dates, and you can add your link to the list of people taking the challenge. All you have to do is post 26 manicures, one a day, each day using a polish that begins with a different letter of the alphabet. I'm using this as an opportunity to go through my backlog of polishes (and photos still on my hard drive!!) to show off some of my newer goodies.

NOTE 03/25/2013: I will no longer be purchasing or reviewing any new China Glaze products, aside from the two that I have in the publishing queue. All previously-published posts will remain up. Info & links of interest

Alphabet Nail Challenge: H is for Harvest Moon (by China Glaze)

From China Glaze's Colors of the Capitol collection. I originally wasn't interested in this shade or Electrify, because I traditionally haven't been a huge fan of orange nail polish. I got this color, though, because earlier in the year I'd slowly been trying more definitely-orange colors, and because while this is bright, it isn't a neon-orange shade. It's also a little bit autumnal, so I have an easier time wearing it than I would wearing a vivid orange polish.

This is a nicely thick polish without being sludgy-thick. It's not quite a metallic, more like a densely-packed microglitter over the top of a metallic. Coverage is excellent. and application was very smooth. I had pretty good coverage with just one coat, but the second coat intensified the color very well.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches
