Aromaleigh v2.1’s Ignis Antiquita collection

I think this might have been the first collection release when the original owner took over major creative direction and formulation at Aromaleigh. I’m not a monstrous fan of the color palette…but the shadow quality got just a little closer to the Aromaleigh v1 shadows. (Hence the “v2.1" - not a total change like the v1 to v2 change, but a change nonetheless.) Color pigmentation seemed like it was a little better, and adhesion was improved. As part of the version 2.1 direction of the company, several collections were designated “seasonal" while others became permanent - always available. This is one of the permanent ones. It’s also one of the larger Aromaleigh collections, even of any of the v2 lineup. I think that some of the v1 collections were over 60 items, but by v2, most collections had decreased to around 20 shades, maybe 30 items tops.

Most of the shadows are shimmer finish - there aren't any full-on sparkle finishes, and while there are a few pearl-frost finishes, there aren't any satins or mattes in this group.

I own about half a dozen of these eyeshadows in full-size, and while I may pick up one or two more, I won't be getting too many of these in full-size. I'm much more of a jeweltone person, or a "bright winter", and this isn't a "bright winter" color palette...so while a few shades caught my attention, by and large, many of these are either a little too warm, or aren't saturated enough for my preference. For folks who love wearing neutral-warm shades, or who are autumnal-palette folks, you've hit a bonanza.
