These eyeshadows are listed as having twice the colorchanging pigment ingredients of other Aromaleigh shadows, so they are more expensive: you pay the same amount for half the quantity, in sample baggies; and you pay double the price for full-size jars. It’s something to keep in mind when purchasing so that you don’t get sticker shock. When swatching these, I did find colorshifting properties when the light angle changed. These are not semisheer, either - the color payoff is good, in every instance. The pricetag really gave me pause, though. I won’t be getting any of these in full size, because while they’re nice, they’re not something that I’d reach for very often, and I don’t want to pay that much more money for something that I don’t regularly use and enjoy.
The Neutrals were all a bit on the glitterbomb-ish side. I had to sweep away the extra layer of sparkle, which left me with a solid base color and some of the colorchanging. Otherwise, they'd all have fallout.
There are four sub-collections in Insectarium: Neutral Travelling Colors; Bright Travelling Colors; Contours; and Highlighters.
