Aromaleigh v2’s Indigoapex

Remember when I reviewed this collection that I said that I was debating on Indigoapex because I had lots of blue eyeshadows, but that I'd probably cave and get it? Yep, I caved. I picked it up during one of Aromaleigh's sales.

The color is a faded indigo. There are hints of purple, but it's not too strong. It's nearly a slate blue, with definite grey tones, but it's definitely a blue. Initial coverage is about average, not really any thin spots, but this color doesn't increase its pigmentation as you add more layers. It can be applied more lightly, either as an accent or a color wash, but putting on more layers of this just adds layers. If you want to intensify the color, put it over a dark grey cream or gel base. Putting it over a white or light colored base gives me…interesting results. I'm not sure that the brightening has much effect on this, because the color itself is a bit of a heathered shade. (Ooh, now there's an idea: putting this over a greyed purple cream shadow! Do I even own one? I'll have to check…)

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches
