New version of the company, new colors, new formula. (Not quite as covering, I’m finding; but still not at all chalky or prone to fading. So two positives.) I’m not 1000% sure I love the new color palette as much as I loved the old one - I do kind of miss Fawn and Cupid and Copen, and this palette is a touch muted while Pure Eyes Matte v1 had more jeweltone and somewhat brighter shades. On the upside - yay, Aromaleigh has a regular collection of matte eyeshadows available again!
These colors tend to perform better when they're applied dry, rather than when foiled. I've found this to be the case with nearly all matte eyeshadows, not just these from Aromaleigh. They tend to lose a bit of the color intensity unless you layer them (which is just a pain - especially if you're trying to do any blending.) Patting this over a damp primer, base, or cream shadow lets you keep the full color payoff, though.
