I have been…cautious of the new Buxom lineup and kits. Not because the quality has gone down. Not because the value has gone down. But because a) I already have a gracious plenty; and b) with 100 in the new collection, if I start on the Gotta Catch Em All path, I’m utterly doomed.

Hence the extreme caution.

This kit is fairly universally appealing: all the colors are the standard Buxom "semi-sheer", most have the gold shimmer but not amped up to "diamond/sparkle" levels, and the shades run from pale to deep, with slightly warmer and cooler variants. Three of the colors are unique to this kit, so this is a good sampler, but also a good way to get some shades that aren't available from the regular line. Madison is my favorite unique-to-the-kit color, and I don't think that there's anything quite like it available currently. There are colors that are close to Alexandria - a near-invisible pink - and Wesley - a medium-deep rich rose. If you love Buxom kits, or have been wanting to try Buxoms but weren't sure where to start, this is a good one to pick up.
