I have no idea when this kit was originally released, or how much it cost. I can’t even really guesstimate, because I don’t know if these items were small (eyeshadow-size) or large (regular size for blush/radiances). They’re all fairly good “stock” items to have in your personal collection…if you’re fair/light/light-medium toned. This is a bit indicative of the BE line - they didn’t really seem to take into account that there are folks with deeper skintones who enjoy using mineral makeup. The items are all good quality, and - with the exception of Well Rested, which isn’t something I personally find myself using much - they’re things that are nearly staples for me. (Even at this point in my routine, where I’m starting to use cream products for face/base and powder for color/finish.) It’s just rather limited to the paler end of the skintone spectrum.
I am not a personal fan of these brushes, though it isn't the concept of the brushes that puts me off. The bristles are decent, nicely dense, they're just a little bit thicker/stiffer than I've come to prefer. BE's Soft Focus brushes work far better for me. Additionally, when I do use Faux Tan or Well Rested, I tend to use them on my eyelids rather than anywhere on my face. They make very good base/blending shades.
