BareMinerals’ High Shine Longwear Eye Duo kits

These were like the Dynamic Duos and the Buxom Duos: pair up two items (usually one hard-to-find and one permanent item), sell one set, then change the pairing. Bare Escentuals seems to be introducing the High Shine colors this way: while seven were available for individual sale through the BE webstore, QVC got pairings of one new high-shine color and one that had been released previously. The colors would rotate into boutiques and the BE webstore, available for individual sale, about six months after their debut on QVC.

Duos released have included:

  • Patina and Glisten (winter 2009)
  • Frost and Moonshine (spring 2010)
  • Gold Medal and Meteorite (winter 2010)
  • Ice and Bronzed (spring 2011)
  • Flash and Vapor (spring 2011)

Since the individual high-shine tubes cost $16 individually, these duos are a good way to get two of the colors at a fairly decent discount (buy one get one half off, effectively.) If you were lucky enough to get the duos during a special weekend or event on QVC, you'd get even more of a discount - I think I paid $26 including shipping for my duo.
