BareMinerals’ Rethink Beauty kit

The first of three autodelivery kits from Bare Escentuals. Usually their A/D series have four kits, and span an entire year. This was an exception.

I got this kit at a discounted price, and on easy pay - I intended to give the Prime Time primers to my mom, who adores them. This kit can be a good value if you don’t have much BE, if you like and use the primers, or if you know of a friend or two who wants to split the kit with you. Otherwise you can just hit Ebay for the eyeshadow, blush, liner, and lip gloss. The tote was fairly sad - it’s a tote bag, it’s not a zippered case or a vanity box or anything else, it’s just a relatively mundane, not-good-for-makeup-storage tote bag.

BareMinerals’ Rethink Beauty kit

This kit contained:

  • Lucky — taupe shimmer
  • Optimist — soft rose sheen
  • Ink — blue violet eyeliner pencil
  • Jelly Roll 100% Natural lip gloss — poppy
  • Prime Time Brightening Foundation Primer in Light Buttercup
  • Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer
  • foundation in your choice of shades
  • flawless application face brush
  • tapered crease-defining brush
  • brown tote bag (reinforced plastic tote, like some shopping bags) with Rethink Beauty on the sides

I really like the eyecolor, and I was glad enough for another tapered crease-defining brush and another of the new eyeliners. I knew right off the bat that I wouldn't care for the foundation or lip gloss. The blush...it's not hideous, but it's a bit orange to work well with my coloring. (Never mind that the BE SAs keep trying to convince me that Golden Gate blush is excellent on me...no, people. No. Duskier orange-toned blushes are Not Good On Me.)
