Twelve full-size loose powder eyeshadows, all named after the months of the year. I haven’t checked to see if the colors correspond to the months, or birthstones, or anything other than “twelve months, twelve colors”. The payoff when applied dry is a bit faint for most of these colors. December is a really gorgeous amped-up white glittery sparkle, though - a bit more bling than BE tends to release. I like the change up! At the same time, I’m glad that I waited to purchase this kit. It originally started out at $72, which is $6 per color, and a significant discount from standalone retail prices. Then in early January the collection price dropped from $72 to $48 ($4 per color.) And then in mid-month, during a 12-hour sale, the kit was available at…$33.60 ($2.80 per color.) Yeah, I can deal with that. (They did limit purchases to two per person, to avoid the Ebay sellers swiping up dozens then selling them off piecemeal. I appreciated that - it gave me the chance to get a full kit, instead of having to try and purchase them one by one and gritting my teeth at how much the colors were costing.)

Another reason I was leery of this kit was that BE colors have a nasty habit of not really following through of the promise-in-the-pot. They'll look gorgeous and bright and pigmented but when you apply them, the colors are barely there. About a third of the colors in this collection "fell down" in the pigmentation department. Some looked far better applied dry than they did applied wet; and I found that if these colors are swept on, with either a brush or a cotton swab, they're a lot less opaque.
All in all, I'm glad I got this kit. But I'm glad that I didn't buy it at full price.
