I've had fun posting these, doing these looks…but I think I would have had more fun had I spaced them out just a little bit more. I'm down to the last three eye looks for this year's Advent Calendar! Today, the Ultra Mattes v2 palette, which I got courtesy of Sirvinya - because this palette cannot be shipped to the US because one of the ingredients is not US-approved for eye cosmetic use, but it is in the EU. I now have both the Light (v1) and the Dark (v2) palettes, and the Dark colors are more interesting to me, and look better on me, than the v1 shades.

I like a lot of the colors in this palette: Orbit, Villain, Fern, Paper Bag, Maple, and Ink are my favorites. Flesh and Paper Bag are both good highlighters, and Dune isn't something I'm immediately visually drawn to, but it's an excellent neutral.

Wet n Wild Fergie eyeshadow primer, whole lid
Sleek's Dune, whole lid
Sleek's Maple, outer 1/3
Sleek's Orbit, inner 1/4
Sleek's Pillow Talk, browbone
Sleek's Noir, upper lash line
CoverGirl's Flame Out mascara, upper lashes

I've run out of "new" mascaras to try. I'm not super-fond of this CoverGirl one - the formula's a bit thin and very prone to transferring onto my lids, and the brush looks like a caterpillar - but I thought that I may as well try this a few more times, see if my first impressions held valid or if I can get some use out of it somehow. Conclusion? I think I know why I found a whole bunch of these in the super-duper-discount bin.
