From the summer 2013 collections. (Summer…2013??? Yep, it's been that long.) I think that, aside from the initial swatching and reviewing, I've only used this palette twice. (Well, after today, three times. Either way, I need to use it a bit more often. It's got more soft-bright shades than I normally use, but there are a handful of more saturated colors that are a bit closer to my preference-zone.

I was all about the green and orange for this look. The relative intensity of the colors didn't look very wintery to me; but the entire Curaçao palette leans more toward brighter shades. The color combination was okay - green, beige and orange is the complement to red, white and blue - but I don't love how it looks on me. Even using the slightly deeper, greyed greens, I look like a Mexican flag.

It doesn't have the incredible volumizing effects that the other Grow Luscious mascara does, nor does it clump as wildly. It does stay in place all day, though. The brush is just as fat, so if you're a big fan of the spikier-looking brushes that give you a bit more definition...well, try this one anyway. I prefer those types of mascara wands, but this brush-and-formula combination works well for me.</p>Self-proclaimed beauty junkie Mia shares her beauty box subscriptions, DIY (and not-so-DIY) home decor, fashion, and a little bit about her family.
