Right on time for Queer Pride month, Beauty Bay released its fourth 42-pan eyeshadow palette of the year: Bright 2.0. Yes, it's another rainbow palette - which might put some off. However, I love rainbow palettes, and this one is close to a "harvest rainbow" palette with vibrant oranges, deeper yellows, cooler reds, teal and turquoise shades, and half a dozen richer neutrals. I could have done without the white matte - white mattes always have to be built up so much to really show up as white, and this one's no exception - and I kind of would have loved a creamy black instead of another black matte. I also would love a completely-matte version of this palette because while I love shimmer shadows, I hate cream-to-powder shadows. All of Beauty Bay's shimmers are that squishy cream-to-powder formula that swatches nicely with fingers but not well with most makeup brushes.
There are both a 9-pan and a 16-pan version of this palette, each with a subset of shades from this larger set. The 16-pan variant has the most neutrals with a selection of the colorful shades, and might be a good choice if you're new to rainbow palettes or don't know quite how you'll use all of the greens, blues, and oranges in this 42-pan version.

Bolded colors are exclusive to this palette. Italicized colors are also available in the 9-colour kit.
