I did buy this color from BFTE, I know that I did. But now it's gone from the website…???
Well, I guess it doesn't matter much, since I found out when I swatched this one that's it's nearly a dead ringer for TKB Trading's Mermaid's Gold, right down to the faint green iridescent shimmer. Last to Know adheres a bit better than TKB's color - which makes sense, because TKB colors are straight micas with no additives to help it apply more evenly or adhere longer.
I don't know what happened to this color, but I do know for sure that it was on the BFTE site at one point and I ordered three pots of it. (Possibly the new owner realized, a little late, that it was extremely similar to the BFTE color Mermaid, which carries the note on its page: “This is an unblended mica.” I don't recall seeing that note on Last to Know. I really wish that page was still up, I wouldn't feel as if I was losing my mind.
Oh, hey, Google Cache…
Text from this product page reads:
Last to Know is a multi-shift shadow. It's yellow, yet gold, yet a light lime green. You might even see a shift of peach too.
Contains: Mica, Iron Oxide, Magnesium Stearate and Silica.
Full-size 5 gram jar holds 1 to 3 grams of product, packed. Sample jar has .5 grams of product.
Ah, so it was a color that was released, I wasn't just losing my mind. On the upside, if you look at this swatch and really want this color in a version that has the adhesion-assisting ingredients mixed in, you can buy BFTE's Mermaid (which -=is=- still on the website) and you're all set.
Unless you really wanted those peach flashes mentioned in the Last to Know product description. I don't know that they'd be in Mermaid. (I haven't seen them in Last to Know. Then again, I haven't worn this out in the sunshine, so that may be when they're visible.)
