Beauty from the Earth’s Lotus

One of the new colors debuted at IMATS LA 2013 (the other were Poodle Pandemonium and Emerald Bliss.) It's slightly similar to Raspberry, but this is just a little more neutral. It's like there are undertones of salmon in this color…which I know is not the right way to describe it, but there you go. That's a good way to differentiate it from Raspberry. The gold shimmer that's visible in the pot is a highlight when applied, but not overly visible.

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.

When applied, the color seems just a little lighter than it appears in the pot. You can build this color up by either applying more layers, or by patting it in place carefully over still-damp primer. The finish is almost metallic, but not quite.

This pink is neutral enough that people with borderline neutral-warm undertones may be able to wear this shade with the right coordinating colors, to help it pull warmer.
