Color Club’s The Uptown

This may be one of the few jelly polishes that I consciously acquire. I tend not to be a gigantic fan of sheer and semisheer polishes, because when I put color on my nails it's because - surprise! - I want to see color on my nails, without having to apply three or more coats. I might make an exception if the color is unique enough, or there are some truly astounding duo- or multi-chrome effects.

I did need three coats for this, which was mildly annoying. On the definite up side, this polish has actual flakies, not mylar strips. (Iridescent flakies are a more costly additive, and so more nail polishes are substituting clear or colored mylar strips.) It looks like Hidden Treasure if it were tinted purple rather than having a clear, yellow-ish base.
