ColourPop’s BFF Volumizing Mascara in Purple Prose

I like this color depth! It’s not a super-bright purple, but it’s not so deep that it may as well be black, either. The formula is thicker and somewhat paste-like, so you easily end up with spider-leg lashes rather than a smoothly-coated color. The BFF mascaras are not waterproof on their own, so if you want this one to last all day, it really does need a sealant or a waterproofing top coat. Despite the formula issues, I love that ColourPop released these. It’s so excellent to get something that gives you a bright pop of color (if that’s what you want, and many days that’s exactly what I want) rather than something that’s more of a black-with-tints-of-color.
