All of the entries for the year 2020 were completed before March 2020. Most items were bought in, or before, 2019. And so, despite the pandemic where buying makeup is definitely a lower priority, I'm still publishing these posts.
ColourPop’s BFF Volumizing Mascara in Kiss n’ Teal

Another brightly-colored mascara! (And, of course, it’s been discontinued by ColourPop.) I think part of the reason this one didn’t get a whole lot of traction was that it clumps like bright blue fuck-all. Most of the brighter-colored mascaras were thicker, almost a whipped texture to help the color evenly and invisibly coat the lashes. Unfortunately, this lent itself to clumping. I do like this color, but I find that I have to work harder: I need to pre-warm the tube to help liquify the mascara, I have to do more cleanup after the first coat, I have to do at least one additional coat for full coverage.
