As soon as I saw this lip color, I knew I wanted it. It's a deeper shade that looks great on me, but was not always too easy to find. Getting it in a collection by Black creators was just an extra bonus: there would be a better-than-average chance that the color payoff would be rock solid.

You can see from the detail photos that the pour was not the smoothest. Maybe the formula was not blended as well as it could have been? Whatever happened, the tip crumbled off when I was swatching this color. I didn't lose the whole stick, because the whole stick wasn't exposed. But I did lose at least ten applications'-worth of product. So that kind of sucked. And the remaining stick has a jagged edge that's a real bear-cat to work with. I'm debating trying to slice away the roughness with an exacto knife, but I don't know if that would work or if I'd just start digging out the rest of the stick piece by piece.

While I do love the color and in general I love Lippie Stix, this particular one is not one of my favorites. I don't know if I got one from a bad batch, or what happened. I do know that this item is no longer available, and I wish it were. I would have liked to get an extra, to see if it worked better, and I love the black matte background with the glossy black text.
