Concrete Minerals’ Phantasm lip tint

I ended up liking this color a lot more than I thought I would!! It doesn’t look too orange, it’s got some mauve tones that cool it down a bit and deepen the final shade. I don’t know yet if I’ll buy another tube of this or not, but that’s largely because I haven’t worn it more than two or three times - so I don’t know, that well, how I feel wearing it. On the one hand, it’s better-looking than I’d anticipated, a but more mauve without being a rosewood-y mauve. On the other hand, it is just barely on the orange/coral side of things. It may not coordinate too well with most of my makeup.

Purple lips aren’t something that always works for me. It’s a preference issue rather than a coloring issue - I like finding cooler reds and pinks, or lighter purples (like Revlon’s Darling) but heavier purple lip colors aren’t something I care to wear every day. Maniac, from Concrete Minerals’ original lineup of the Sexy Lips collection, is a soft sheer wash of color rather than a more obvious violet. It almost deepens my lip color a little bit, which isn’t an effect that I expected, but one that I like very much.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the lip color in the tube; top right, the color applied over bare skin, to better show the shade; and below, the color applied to the lips.
