All of the entries for the year 2020 were completed before March 2020. Most items were bought in, or before, 2019. And so, despite the pandemic where buying makeup is definitely a lower priority, I'm still publishing these posts.
elf’s Flat Eyeliner Brush

Remember, folks: marketing and labeling is a suggestion, not a restriction. This brush from elf is a great case in point.

I picked this up when I was looking for a way to apply my deeper, vampier lip colors along the edges of my lips…when I could not find a lip liner in the matching color. This seemed like the perfect brush: the head was wide and cleanly shaped, the top was flat, and the bristles were dense enough that I could pick up the color and press it into place like a stamp. (Why not use a regular lip brush to apply the “liner” portion of my lip color, you may ask? Because I wanted something that could press or stipple color into place, and because I wanted a longer straight line.) I only started using this brush in January 2020, but it’s worked well for me thus far.
