Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

EoTD: Qualities - Confidence

"Confidence ignores "No Tresspassing" signs. It is as if he doesn't see them. ... The only limits he respects are his own."
— from The Book of Qualities by J. Ruth Gendler

To me, confidence can be flashy, forthright, or simply quiet (like courage.) Initially I thought about using all Rocks! Sonic Eyes colors for this look because they're all so bold and bright; but then I'd have so few Rocks colors left for the rest of the year, and that would have been sad. So you get a mixture.

Part of the One Year Eyecolor Challenge (new colors used: 5)

  • Bare Escentuals' Butterfly, lash to crease - base color
  • Aromaleigh v1's Shadow Witch, outer crease brushed forward at browline - contouring, color
  • The SheSpace's Clowns in Concert, outer lid - shading
  • Aromaleigh v1's Iwantcandy, inner corner - shading, accent; lower lashline - color
  • Bare Escentuals' Stilettos, upper (wetlined) and lower (smudged) lashlines - accent, definition
  • Cover Girl Lash Blast Length mascara, upper and lower lashes - definition

Today I tried Cover Girl's Lash Blast Length mascara, and was favorably impressed. I get as much definition as I do with BE's Flawless Definition mascara, I get a bit more length, and it costs less per tube. I don't yet know how long it wears, though, or whether it will give me "racoon eyes". I do know that currently it's only available in one color. That kind of stinks, as I'd like the option to buy brown-black or even brown. Ah, well...
