The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.
"The Wind is a gossip. Not in a malicious way. She just likes to move around and stir things up."
My next theme is inspired by J. Ruth Gendler's The Book of Qualities. It's a whimsical, lyrical, artful book where the various qualities and emotions - fear, despair, courage, power, sensuality - are all personified. I first read this book in the early 1980s. My mother had been given a copy, and I loved the way the words flowed, the way the qualities were given form and texture and substance, the fancifulness that actually stayed true to how the various qualities manifest themselves in people. So when looking for a long-range theme...this seemed excellent. If you're interested in buying this book, you can click on the link above (an Amazon affiliate link) or you can go to your preferred online bookseller and search for "The Book of Qualities".
Part of the One Year Eyecolor Challenge (new colors used: 3)
I wanted something understated, but definite - because while you can almost always feel the movement of the air, you're not always consciously aware of it. I used Vortex because of the light blue color, and also the name. I used Gossip solely because of the name :D With Vortex being such a pale blue and Gossip being both a lighter shade and having lots of glitter, I wanted something definitive but changeable for the third color. Visions looks burnt-orange, but shifts color slightly, showing more red and gold when the light hits it properly. Macroviolet is a gorgeous purple that sets of my eyes well.
Giddy Pink (blush) and Pinafore (lip color) were both perfect complements to the eye look, adding pink that's substantial without being overpowering. They also look like breeze-kissed (as opposed to wind-chapped) lips and cheeks.
