Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

EoTD: The Tarot - the Star

The Star (esoteric name “Daugher of the Firmament”) is the sixteenth card in the Major Arcana. The card signifies idealism, hope, generosity, serenity, and self-realization. Colors associated with this card are violet, sky blue, bluish mauve, whitish purple.

Part of the One Year Eyecolor Challenge (new colors used: 4)

Eyes

  • Urban Decay's Primer Potion, lash to crease
  • Rainbow Minerals' Wisteria Shimmer, outer lid
  • Everyday Minerals' Wallaby, inner lid
  • Pure Luxe's Miss Understood, lash to crease
  • Bare Escentuals' Hugs, inner corner and brow highlighter
  • Lady Burd's Tanzanite, upper lash line

After doing a handful of looks using UDPP, I think that I won't use this when I want to do any blending. It's very sticky, so the colors adhere well and last long (and look very vibrant), but if you want to do anything remotely resembling blending, or want a softer look, you have to either work much much faster or just accept that you won't have a soft ethereal look (or don't use non-neutral colors). For those folks who want bold-brassy-bright looks, this is just fine. For folks who don't care for that effect...not so wondrous. Back to my paint pots!
