Everyday Minerals’ Short Cake blush

There were two blushes in this collection: one warmer (this one) and one cooler (Cookie Sheet.) I like them both, and am glad I got an heir-and-a-spare before this kit was taken off the site! (EDM's eyeshadows…were kind of hit and miss. Their blushes were uniformly good-to-very-good, though.)

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the face color in the pot; top right, the face color patted loosely over primer, to better show the shade and properties; and below, the color applied to the cheeks.

This shade has a good depth of red without being immediately overwhelming. It's a more elegant berry for a more civilized age. I think this color might have shown up well on medium-to-deep skintones without too much layering.
