Why am I reviewing these so very late in the game? Well…buying a house, breaking my ankle, moving into the new house (while on crutches no less!), job loss, new job, panic panic panic. The downside is that I wasn’t exactly timely reviewing these, or even trying them. The upside is that I get to enjoy them now! I have three of these in my go-bag - they’re that useful and well-loved.

The format is your standard jumbo-eye-pencil in a twist-up casing. The product stick is accordingly thicker, and even going on two years old, these had not dried out or hardened. Just like Kiko's staple Long Lasting Shadow Sticks, they apply easily and blend very well. The primary difference is that they stay blendable for a bit longer, and they've got a scattered-sparkle finish. (I tend to blend mine out, so the sparkle's more minimalized.) The overall effect is a softened shimmer finish.
This collection contained:
Modern Ice Rose and Rose Anthracite are tied for my "daily wear" color. Feminine Emerald is a gorgeous shade, but it's my least favorite because it doesn't apply as evenly or opaquely as the others.Sensual Burgundy, which was my anticipated favorite, applies as a nice solid rich "burgundy" shade but blends out a bit softer...which just just makes it more versatile.
If you love these colors and are sorry you missed them, they do have shade equlvalents in the permanent-collection Shadow Sticks. Light Taupe matches with Modern Ice Rose; Structured Bronze is closest to Rosy Brown; Sensual Burgundy matches with Burgundy; Power Blue is close to Blue Iris; Feminine Emerald matches with Emerald Green; and Rose Anthracite is similar to Smokey Grey.
