MAC’s Little Black Bow fluidliner

Like Stila's Black Cat, like MAC's own For Effect…like any cream or gel eye color with sparkle, really…Little Black Bow doesn't apply quite as smoothly as one might wish. I definitely get better results out of this one if I dot it on, rather than use the brush to sweep it on. The coloring is nice enough, but it's not a jet black, more like a faded black. (If you're looking for pinup-level definition, you need to be aware of this.) I do like that MAC tried this again, with their fluidliner rather than a paint pot; but it's more suited for evening or glam looks than every day. By the end of the day, I noticed that I had glitter around my eyes and on my cheekbones right below my eyes - not a lot, but it had definitely migrated.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeliner tube or pencil barrel; top right, the eyeliner applied over bare skin, to better show the shade and properties; and below, the eyeliner applied on the eyelid at the lash line.

If you're looking for a black sparkle liner, might I suggest Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof liner in Dazzle (a Sephora exclusive)? I think it's because of the formula, a liquid rather than a gel or cream; but Dazzle gives far more of the black, and the glitter has less of a tendency to wanter.
