All of the entries for the year 2020 were completed before March 2020. Most items were bought in, or before, 2019. And so, despite the pandemic where buying makeup is definitely a lower priority, I'm still publishing these posts.
Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipstick in Chocoholic (785)

This is definitely a brown, but it has purple undertones and so can look like a very deep red. The formula is among the better of the Loaded Bolds lipsticks, giving great coverage with one, perhaps two strokes. It looks okay without a liner, even through longer days, though for this color - as any of the Loaded Bolds - you’ll probably want to use a clear liner around the edges to prevent feathering as your day goes on.

This isn’t the shade that I’m most comfortable wearing all year around. I also am more conscious of how this lip color looks with the clothing I’m wearing, and how it can visually battle with bolder, more intense eyeshadow looks. The cooler tones help it look good with my coloring, though, which is a huge plus. Many warm or even neutral deep brown lip colors don’t work too well for me.
