Maybelline’s Colorsensational Lipstick in Smoking Red

This applies a little clearer and lighter than it looks. It’s a deep barely-berry red. If you’re looking for “blood of my enemies” depth of red, this isn’t quite that dark. However, it is a great deeper lip shade! It applies nicely, and it doesn’t have a greater-than-average tendency to feather like some deeper lipsticks might.

If you’re looking for a liner for this shade, there currently isn’t one available from Maybelline. However, NYX Cosmetics’ Cherry Skies is nearly the exact same shade, just barely (almost imperceptibly) lighter.
