I am looking for a lash primer that mainly acts as a good base for my colored mascaras: it helps them adhere to my lashes, and it helps the color appear more intense. This primer stays white, and it stays slightly tacky, like some waterproof mascaras. Be careful to both coat the applicator thoroughly, for even distribution - this will make it easier to apply uniformly. If you apply multiple coats, it will build up. Be aware, though, that you will need to use oil-based remover to get this all off. (It doesn’t say that it’s waterproof, but it acts like it.)

For me, since I want to apply the next coat of mascara when it’s cured a bit but still a little tacky, I perform a shortish task after applying this primer and my chosen mascara. After a minute, the primer has dried down enough that a mascara - even the thicker formulas like Colourpop - won’t just pull the primer right off my lashes.
