This was one of seven Morphe palettes I picked up just before Labor Day. I chose this one because I liked the mixture of warm and cool colors: I saw blues, greens, yellows, corals, and reds, but they didn’t completely match the Sweet Oasis palette (which I also picked up. Like I said…seven palettes. They were all discounted by at least 50%, so I figured this was a good time to grab the ones I was even vaguely interested in.) While there are some browns, there are barely half a dozen, so they definitely aren’t the main color grouping here.
I like the way the palette is arranged: top-to-bottom light to dark, cool colors on the left and warm colors on the right. While some argue that they’d rather have coordinating colors grouped together…I like this because it’s easy to find all the greens (okay, well, green-ish), all the blues, all the reds, all the oranges. Even the browns are all around the periphery of the warm colors, so they’re also easy to locate.
My favorite shades in this palette just happen to be in close proximity. Ocean Drive, Shady Behavior, Strobe Light, and Coral Divin’ are all on the second row. I also very much like Real Deal, Alter Ego, and Off The Grid from the fourth row. I wish that the “frost” shades from this palette had been straight shimmers instead: I feel like I have to pack on a lot more product to get the color depth and intensity that I want, and that much product does not like staying in place for very long…especially not on hooded lids.
This kit, like all of the Artistry Palettes, contained 35 colors, arranged in five rows of 7 colors each:
