Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

My weekend outing: the good stuff

My weekend trip to the mall was not a total disaster.

I walked through JCPenney to get to the mall, and walked past their misses' knit tops, which were marked as doorbuster sale items. I got three - all the same style, different colors - and paid for 3 what I'd normally pay for 1. I had seen Sirvinya's review of The Body Shop's Berry face and cheek powder [SYTL], and was impressed at the mixed colors (that go all the way through to the pan!), the pigmentation, and the shimmer. I went to the mall intending to get this item, and I scored one. Everything at The Body Shop was 30% off, so I also picked up some spiced-vanilla body butter (it's an amazing scent-blend: not too cloying, not too sweet, not too heavy.) I hit Sephora and verified that the new Benefit creaseless cream shadows are in larger Sephora boutiques, and picked up a discounted Buxom kit and a Sephora lip gloss in a lovely sheer fuchsia with blue shimmer.

  • JCPenny: three long-sleeve notch-neck shirts with embroidered designs
  • The Body Shop: cheek and face powder in Berry, body butter in Spiced Vanilla
  • Sephora: Buxom Laura Does London, Sephora Love Me Pink shimmer gloss
  • Bare Escentuals: Buxom Rock Stars, lipstick in French Pastry

November 2010 Mall Trip

When I got home, all three cats circled around me - not because they were glad to see me, but because I left shortly after lunchtime and it was now well past Wet Food Thirty. I fed them, popped a nukey-pizza in the microwave, and headed upstairs to pull everything out of the bags. I hung up the shirts, put the makeup aside for photographing, and collected the receipts to enter into the register. I then left the empty bags on the bed and Glamour Puss jumped up and started exploring them. I like the things in the bags, but don't want the bags themselves. Glamour Puss could care less about the contents, he just wants the bags. It's a good arrangement whereby we're both dizzy with delight at our respective new toys.
