Notoriously Morbid’s The Hammer

This color softens quite a bit from the pot to the application. It does shift, but not as much as I thought it would. The shift is softer, but very definite - from pale pink to silver-green to light cool grey. It reminds me of BareMinerals' grey-lilac colorshift, which was mostly grey and whose shift was also nigh-on invisible.

When blending this color, most of the colorshift gets lost. The soft grey that's left behind is a nice shade, and the colorshift that's left can add some subtle nuances to the overall look. But this isn't a color that's great to use when it's blended into other colors, or vice versa. Inner-vee highlight, browbone lights, eyeliners...either softer smaller applications or very specific and unblended. (I wonder if there's an interference highlighter that lays down the blue and pink interference over a sheer background? That would be nice to have.)

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.
