This applies…well, not “pale”, necessarily. It's a very light color, could work as an all-over shade if you want something neutral with a little extra shimmer. Use as a highlighter might require a very light touch, or good blending skills (or both.) This is a light color, not a whisper-pale shade. Even applied dry there's a bit of the reflective shimmer.

Unless I apply this over primer, it won't stay in place for very long. Part of it is my oily lids, but part of it seems to be most of the NYX Chrome colors. They seem to have a tiny bit more wanderlust than other loose powder colors I have, either collecting in the crease and corners or slowly fading over the course of the day. Put over primer, I get a little bit of the fading, but no migrations.
