After my positive experiences with their Suede Matte lip-color collections, which I have also used as eye and cheek colors as well as lip colors (try at your own risk, especially with the purple, blue, and green shades), I was interested in seeing how these performed. (I’m still a little bitter over the discontinuation of the Black Label lipstick line - they performed much better than the Round Lipsticks, but were still in the “budget beauty” price range.) I like the tube design, as well: there’s a heart on top of the lid that approximates the color; and there’s a heart on the side of the tubes in the same shade. They go on smoothly, but they feel a little too thick, in that they pull at my lips a bit more than other lipsticks. On the upside, the lipstick formula is thick enough that I can very easily use a tiny brush and pick up some of the color to use as a fairly effective lip liner.
There are a few shades that are such close approximations of other NYX lipsticks that, unless you've got a strong yen to get the shade in this formula, you only need to get one or the other. Desert Rose is a muted pink that is similar to Roller Disco (Dazed and Diffused) and Cherry Charm is similar to Cherry Skies (Suede Matte).
