This collection showed up in a few chains in April…but most of us began seeing the colors in July. (I was in that latter group, and no, I wasn’t thrilled about it.) Brighter shades, good wear time, one semisheer “effects”-like polish, and a mix of finishes. I was glad to finally be able to get my hands on these!
About half the shades are wonderful: good formula, good coverage, great shades. There were two genuine disappointments in the collection, and one that could fall under “disappointment for some, but not nearly as bad as it could have been.” Some bloggers said, when the bottles were first spotted, that these looked quite a bit like the Sally Hansen Hi-Def polishes. There are some defnite palette similarities, but in my experience, that’s the most similar thing about the collections.
Searsucker and Summerlime were the biggest disappointments in the collection - the first, because it's intentionally a semisheer color (very similar to Blizzard Blue) and the second, because it's just a thin formula. Leis-y Days and Summer Lovin' are my biggest favorites from this collection. Hello Sunshine is nice enough, though I wish it had been a bit more opaque and less similar to China Glaze's Lighthouse. I was utterly unable to find Copper anywhere near me, and I was really hoping to get that polish!
