Saturday Soundtrack: Halleluja (by Sash!)

Sash is a remix-DJ, does some interesting club stuff. I first heard his album Trilenium when I was living in Vancouver in 2000. (Interestingly enough: this music had Sony's new-at-the-time DRM technology on it, and I only found out after I bought the CD. I had to buy a new portable CD player to listen to the music.) This particular track off of Trilenium is....well, not exactly straight-up and serious. It's energetic, sarcastic, pop-music fun (though - I promise - nowhere near as atrocious or insipid as Rebecca Black's Friday. That song wasn't sarcasm, that was just stupid. Either someone was insulting her intelligence writing those lyrics for her, or she was insulting our intelligence writing and then inflicting those lyrics on us.)

None of the tracks on this CD are available for purchase as MP3s. I'm not quite sure why that is...but that appears to be the case. I've linked to the CD, available for purchase. (You want the Import version with the extra tracks - which is the one I've linked to.) If you prefer to purchase without using my affiliate link, just go to the site of your choice and search for "Sash! Trilenium".

If you prefer to listen to something a little calmer, a little techno-trance-ambient, here's track 14 from Trilenium (this is one of the bonus tracks, so you have to get the import version of the CD to get this one.) The video is just another still picture, and thus is fairly boring; but just hit play, close your eyes, and listen to the music.
