Saturday Soundtrack: Return of the She-King (Dead Can Dance)

I've showcased Lisa Gerrard on here more than a few times. Lisa Gerrard is the primary vocalist of Dead Can Dance - and this song is off their reunion album Anastasis. The group was originally formed in 1981, and I was introduced to their music about three years later through a Christmas-card mix tape from my aunt. The band took a break in 1998, reunited briefly in 2005, and in 2011 they kicked off a lead-up to their world tour, which they're currently on (as of this month, they are playing in California US.)

This song sounds like it could be part of the Game of Thrones soundtrack! It's my favorite track thus far from the group's 2012 reunion album Anastasis. I've included an affiliate link to buy the CD with free Auto-rip on Amazon.com below; but you can easily just go to Amazon.com or wherever you want to buy your music from, do a search for "Dead Can Dance Anastasis", and buy the album in whichever format you wish. (I'm old school. I still prefer to physically own CDs, and then when I rip them I rip them to slightly higher quality than most standard MP3s. But that's me, I'm picky. For some music, the sound quality doesn't matter too much. But when listening to Dead Can Dance or Bear McCreary's BSG soundtrack on CD versus standard-quality ripped MP3...you notice the difference.)
