The pigmentation levels on this color seem to be a little on the lighter side, compared to blackened colors from other companies. I'd say this is about on par with Bare Escentuals' Rio, in terms of color payoff.

This does have a little bit of blackening, but not a heavy amount. This can be used as a liner, if you want definition but not quite as hard-edged as dark liner pencils and shades tend to be used. This color also works well for shading, but doesn't really work all that well as a contour or a crease shade: all that really shows up is the blackening undertone.
