Sephora’s Pantone Universe Foiled Eyeliner kit

Six metallic (and waterproof!!) eyeliner pencils. I was really excited when I saw this set! What the pictures don’t really show, though, is that these pencils are minis - a little shorter than the Urban Decay “mini" pencils. So while I did get a lovely rose gold eyeliner, it (and the silver, and the brown, and the gold, and the purple….) are all minis. They also came in some bizarre packaging: a plastic outer case, and a holder for the pencils that included a lot of stickum on the bases. I spent a lot of time just pulling off, then trying to rub off, the sticky stuff. (I finally resorted to using nail polish remover.)

Sephora’s Pantone Universe Foiled Eyeliner kit

Coverage varies a bit - the silver and gold are a little bit patchy, but the brown and the rose gold are very even. The 'metallic' bit also varies, with the purple being more like a standard blackened eyeliner with minimal shimmer of any kind. Not necessarily bad, just...not metallic. The charcoal also isn't very metallic. These pencils take a bit longer to set than most other waterproof liners, and without some kind of a primer, they won't stay in place on my lids. My favorites are the rose gold, called Rose Dawn (largely because I don't have anything remotely like it) and the metallic brown.

The colors are:

  • Charcoal Grey — deep charcoal grey shimmer
  • Honey Mustard — metallic gold shimmer
  • Hortensia — blackened purple creme
  • Rose Dawn — metallic pale gilded rose shimmer
  • Silver — metallic silver shimmer
  • Thrush — metallic chocolate brown shimmer
