This color swatched just a little warmer than it appeared on Shiro's site. Shade-wise, it's right between Aromaleigh v2's Antares (medium maroon shimmer) and Aldebaran (coral-red shimmer.) It's a cool red with very faint burnt-orange undertones. It's also less metallic than I thought it would be, based on Shiro's description and swatches. I love the color, though - excellent pigmentation level, no staining. I love seeing how more and more vendors are producing rich, truly pigmented red eyeshadows! (Not soft faded red, not red-russet, not brick-brown, not even hot pink, but actual reds. Some of the mainstream vendors are even starting to realize that, yes, there's demand!)

According to the site copy, this color is lip-safe.
