Shiro Cosmetics’ Zero

This is part of the Halloween collection…sort of. Zero and Two Faced were added to this lineup in 2013, when the four “This Is Halloween” colors were re-released.

It makes recordskeeping a bit of a bitch, but I'm kind of glad to see more popular collections “coming back” so that a) indie stores get another chance to sell these colors and b) consumers who have seen swatches of these colors don't have to keep telling themselves, “I missed this one, it'll never come around again…”

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.

Zero is pretty close to a straight interference mica: appears white, shows a color when the light hits it at certain angles. I thought that Zero might have a little bit more depth - maybe show primarily as a dusky pale mauve - but apparently that's also only at certain angles.
