Maybelline’s Colorsensational lipstick in Parisian Pink (100)

Maybelline’s Colorsensational lipstick in Parisian Pink (100)

An attractive shade, but it doesn't lay down much overt color. Instead it just seems like it concentrates and lightly amplifies my natural lip color. I think this was part of the 2012 Spring limited-edition collection…but I can't be sure. All I do know is that this color was limited edition, and is no longer available for sale (except from Ebay, or in really really old endcap displays. Or possibly at dollar stores, if any made it that far.)

I think this shade might work best on me as an accent color - too much orangey bronze can make my fingers look a bit reddened. That said, I do love this shade! A deep cool red, not a fuchsia-red like the professional bottle photo would suggest. I personally love this color, and don't know why it was removed from the Zoya lineup so quickly! But they've released other colors that are near-dupes for something else in...

Colors like this are great for folks who want a roughened visual texture without the “chunky glitter” of larger glitter-particle polishes. They can work decently with some nail stamps, too - provided you use the ones with larger patterns rather than lots of fine lines. I have a few that are similar to this shade, and I was glad to be able to pick up another variant when this line was on discontinuation-prices at Sephora.

Beauty from the Earth’s Green with Envy kit

Beauty from the Earth’s Green with Envy kit

For folks who love teal and green eyeshadows, this was a great kit. (I love them…I just, oddly enough, don’t love wearing quite so much of it together, without a neutral or a red or purple as an accent shade.) All of these colors were available in other kits, and all three were available for individual purchase. Atomic Teal is the deepest shade in this collection, but there doesn’t seem to be that much contrast between the...
