Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

Winter 2010 Giveaway #1!!

December 16: Giveaway is now closed: winners - Galen (international) and emac059 (US)

Start Date: November 15
End Date: December 15

My giveaway for December will have 2 winners, one US, one international. (I'm splitting it up because international customers kind of got left hanging when Miss K. had to shut down international ordering due to some scammers; and because shipping nail polish internationally is very, very expensive. And I don't want to pay $35+ to ship a prize.) So what am I giving away?

International prize: Sephora Flashy Liner pencil set, complete sample sets of Aromaleigh v1's Mythos, Wonderstruck and Pure Eyes Luster collections, one Aromaleigh Rocks! Sonic lip tint in Loveonyourside, one red velvet cake mix, one tin of cream cheese frosting. Yes, the cake is 1) a mix; and 2) American; but it doesn't suck. Don't believe me? Ask Sirvinya. I sent her a box of this same mix for her birthday, and the cake was inhaled in - what - three days? Faster than that? (Same with the frosting. It's actually good. I'm not sending you Cherry Chip, which was my childhood favorite cake...but is utterly bereft of flavor. That cake does not taste of cherry, it tastes pink. I'm not sending you that, I'm sending the good stuff.)

US prize: complete sample sets of Aromaleigh v1's Carolina Summer, Opulent Luster, and Gothic Lolita collections; 5 bottles of Sephora by OPI nail polish: Sample Sale, Just A Fairy-Tale, Wardrobe Change, Ocean Love Potion, and I'm With Brad.

And there may be a few extra goodies that happen to fall into each winning package. Aherm.

EDIT, November 29 2010: if you missed the starting cutoff for this drawing, not to fret: there's two more queued up. So register now and participate to make sure you can get in on the goodies!

All prizes for this giveaway purchased by me, except for the Aromaleigh Rocks! Sonic Lip Tint, which I received as a free surprise in one of my final Aromaleigh orders. And since I have and love many of those lip tints...sharing - especially with those who were unable to order for so long - seemed an excellent idea.

To qualify, you have to meet these three minimum points:

  1. You must be a registered member of the site by 11:59pm, November 15th Pacific time. All memberships have to be manually approved...so for purposes of the contest I'll count members who registered by that deadline, even if I don't approve you until the next morning.
  2. You must have contributed either a comment or a rating on any two posts - in addition to this one - between November 15th and December 15th (the date of the drawing). You should be logged in when leaving your comments so that I can more quickly verify your activity...and you -=have=- to be logged in to leave a rating. You don't have to rate a recent product, either. It can be one of the oldest products on the site. You can rate a kit, an individual item, many of my op-ed rants, the looks that I've done...anything that displays the ratings dropdown in the upper right hand corner of the post.
  3. Comment in this post, noting your member name and when you signed up, and whether you live in the US or elsewhere. You don't have to tell me which comments you left or which items you rated - as long as you're logged in when you do these things, I'll be able to see member activity and verify that you've been active. (But if you want to list them in the comments below, you can.)

For up to three additional chances to win, participate more and spread the word, and leave one comment on this post with links to your participation:

  1. one additional ticket: leave an eyecolor combination for me to wear on Dance Monkey Mondays. I've got the gallery up and running now, so even if you don't know the colors by name, you now have pictures. Maximum of one combination left between November 15th and December 15th, and not left by someone else, will count as one additional "ticket".
  2. one additional ticket: tweet about my giveaway news - this giveaway, and the ones coming up. People who may not be eligible for this giveaway will still be eligible for the other two that I currently have planned. (And I may plan more after that. One just never knows.) Leave a link to your tweet in the comment section of this post.
  3. one additional ticket: mention my site on your site - the Dance Monkey Mondays, the giveaways, anything. You can either have a one-off entry, or a link in your sidebar. You can mention me on your blog, or on Facebook, either one - but you need to leave a link, and it must be something that's publicly visible. (I am not on Facebook, so don't bother trying to find my FB profile to link to. There isn't one.) Leave a link to your mention in the comment section of this post.

Please keep all the links and soforth in one comment! Links left over multiple comments will not be counted - only the information in your first comment on this post will be valid for entry. This giveaway will close on 11:59 pm Pacific time, December 15th; and I'll use Random.org to select the winner on December 16th. The winner will be notified by mail, and will be announced on this site when they confirm. If the original contacted winner doesn't confirm within 48 hours, I'll randomly select another winner.

So there we are! This giveaway will be the only one where there are two winners; but this will also be the only giveaway where I have to have a US-only prize. The other two (January and February) will be open worldwide.

(Note: All prizes in this giveaway were purchased by me. With my own money. Because if I used someone else's money I'd get into a bit of trouble...)
