When this collection was released, there was one color that really caught my eye: this one. The others…were nice, but nothing overly different or unique or wow. This, though…this was gorgeous. A deeper, almost smokey blue-green, it kind of reminded me of Aromaleigh v1's Abyss.
It's absolutely frakin' gorgeous.
One coat gets you blue-green sparkle with hints of gold, and only the very faintest of visible nail line. Two coats deepens and intensifies the color, pulls it all the way over to dark green with gold, and makes Edyta totally opaque. This is a microglitter polish, so it doesn't come off the nails easily - you've got to work at it. On the other hand, like so many of Zoya's polishes, touch-ups are brainless and painless. The touch-up blends in very well with the older nail polish.
So many beauty- and nail-bloggers this summer were touting Charla as a mermaid in a bottle, as The Color To End All Colors, as an amazing nail polish that everyone should have. Well, apparently I'm all dark-side…because while Charla is pretty enough, Edyta, its darktoned sibling, is my One True Polish. If Charla is mermaids in a bottle, Edyta is the depths where the mermaids cannot go, where Calypso plays at dice with Mother Carey.
If I had to give away every color I own but two, I'd give the others away and keep Ki and Edyta.
