Zoya’s Janice

Picked this color up during one of Zoya's Earth Day promos (2011, I think???) when I noticed that it looked to be slated for discontinuation. It was still available in early 2014, but as of today…it's not on the site.

I prefer richer reds to bright reds, but like them to be on this side of “oxblood”. Janice is a great color with a solid finish. Even after having owned it for a few years, the color (or at least my bottle of it) applies very smoothly, and isn't thick. Two coats gave me full coverage, and after I took these photos I added a third coat to see if the shimmer would increase. (It didn't - not appreciably.)

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

Close-up photo of the middle three fingernails of the left hand, showing the nail color applied. The left hand holding a bottle of nail polish and displaying all manicured fingernails, with 2 coats of Zoya's Janice Four fingers in a row, resting on the thumb, with all nails displaying 2 coats of Zoya's Janice

I love this shade, and the durability is fairly good. The coats were just a little tiny bit on the thin side, but not watery. I got fully opaque coverage with two coats.
