Zoya’s Julie

There's a faint texture to this - what Zoya dubbed their “liquid-crystal effect”. It doesn't add tons of dimension to the polish that I've noticed, and it does mean that any polish with this texturing effectively can't be used for any nail stamping.

The purple color is very attractive, a very Easter-basket purple. I did have some problems with coverage, though. Two coats left some thinner spots, and the coverage was just slightly uneven. I noticed this with Parveen (the first Zoya polish with this finish), GeiGei, and Piaf. Three coats would probably get rid of the thinner spots, but I really like it when a nail polish only needs two coats and has a nice, even coverage.

This color was discontinued pretty quickly after being “added” to the regular line. It was part of the Spring 2013 collection, Lovely…and by September 2013 the color was no longer available for purchase.
