Ki is the standout color in the Suede collection: a deep dark violet duochrome (or actually, polychrome) in a collection of softer, more neutral shades. The only other dark color in that collection is Dea, a reddish-chocolate creme. I could so easily post half a dozen photos of Ki, in various lighting conditions and at various angles, to show it off in all its glory. But others have done that. Let me just say that this is a true duochrome (or trichrome, or polychrome.) The bottle does not show the full range of colors in the polish - and if you've bought other “duochromes” from Zoya or any other line, you know that some duochromes just don't show their chameleonic properties when on your nail.
This polish most definitely does. I'd go so far as to say it almost makes up for colors like Shivon, which shows duochrome characteristics in the bottle but not on the nail.

Under indoor lighting, you see the metallic purple and the green duochrome. At some angles, you get an antiqued-violet with green hints around the edges of the nail. It's very pretty. But it's in sunlight that Ki really struts its stuff! That's when you can see the antiqued copper-gold shade. Trying to photograph this is a bugbear; but trust me…it's there. (Nail- and beauty-blogger Scrangie has some excellent photos of this polish. The Nailgal community is another resource…but, really, Scrangie's photos are excellent.)
